Recognized as one of the premier marching festivals in the country, PAS's Marching Percussion Festival is an excellent opportunity to be critiqued by some of the leading percussion specialists in the field of marching percussion today. The festival is open to all high school and college students and drum lines. It takes place on two of the four days of PASIC and is one of the many events in which to participate. The first day consists of individual competition on snare, tenor, keyboard, or timpani. The second day is made up of marching, standstill, and small ensemble categories. Here is a breakdown of categories: In addition to the festival, participants will have access to four days of exciting clinics and concerts in all areas of percussion. Additionally, festival participants will have access to the Drum and Percussion Expo, an exhibit hall that contains over 80,000 square feet of exhibits by all of the leading drum and percussion manufacturers.
