Rob Ferguson
Amplifying the Front Ensemble - How to and How Much?

Ferguson

Rob Ferguson has been the director of Matrix Indoor Drumline since its conception in 1999 and currently serves as the executive director, as well as the battery coordinator/arranger. Additionally, Ferguson is the front ensemble coordinator for the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps. He also serves on the faculty of Youngstown State University as a keyboard percussion specialist and assistant marching band director. In addition to his teaching, he is an active composer, arranger, and designer in both the indoor and outdoor marching activities for high school, college, and independent programs. Ferguson is active as a program consultant for numerous high school programs throughout Ohio and Indiana. He has been a guest soloist and clinician at many universities and high schools in Ohio, Indiana, Texas, and Pennsylvania. Ferguson holds both his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Kent State University. He is currently serving his sixth term as a percussion representative to the Mid-East Performance Association Board of Directors.
